Google’s Q4 “Coming soon” pages for Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360, both updated on October 16, say Floodlight will use Google signed-in data signals to help recover conversions. The same notice carries two different months, October on one page and November on the other. Neither page gives a day for it. If the change works as described, Floodlight attributed counts could rise in one of those months with no change to your tags.
What do the two Q4 pages say about Floodlight signed-in data?
Both pages carry the same notice under the heading “Google signed-in data signals for Floodlight attribution”: Floodlight will use Google signed-in data signals to help recover previously unattributed cross-device and cross-environment web conversions across Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360, and Campaign Manager 360 reporting. No action is required.
The Campaign Manager 360 page dates it “October 2026” and the Display & Video 360 page dates it “November 2026”. Neither gives a day.
| Page | Date given |
|---|---|
| Campaign Manager 360, Q4 2026 | October 2026 |
| Display & Video 360, Q4 2026 | November 2026 |
Each page shows “Last updated: October 16, 2026”. We did not find a Search Ads 360 page that carries the notice, so the two Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360 pages are the only ones we can quote. We do not know why the months differ, and neither page says.
Cross-device conversions already appear in Search Ads 360
Search Ads 360 already reports cross-device conversions. Its “Reporting conversions” help page says of the “All conversions” column: This column is included in your tables by default and includes cross-device conversions.
That changes how to read the notice. The notice is about using Google signed-in data signals to help recover conversions that were “previously unattributed”, not about starting cross-device reporting in Search Ads 360. We did not find a current Campaign Manager 360 help page that explains how it counts cross-device conversions today, so we say nothing about that.
One of several Floodlight recovery items
The Display & Video 360 Q3 page, last updated August 21, 2026, lists other recovery changes for Floodlight. One is support for CHIPS: “Google Marketing Platform (GMP) is deploying support for CHIPS (cookies having independent partitioned state) in Floodlight attribution to recover conversion measurement”. Another says Floodlight tags “will now utilize first-party browser local storage alongside traditional cookies to better attribute CTCs”.
The Campaign Manager 360 Q4 page adds an item that the Display & Video 360 Q4 page lacks. Under “Additional conversion recovery methods” (October 2026), it says Campaign Manager 360 is adopting “click attribution methods and durable browser storage techniques already used in Google Ads” to help reconnect web conversions when cookies are missing or have expired. These are roadmap entries with month or quarter labels. They do not confirm what is live today.
Two Google pages disagreeing on a detail is not new. We saw it with the Display & Video 360 sensitive category deprecation, where three pages gave three scopes.
What the two Q4 pages leave out
We searched the text of both Q4 pages. Neither mentions GA4 or Google Analytics, consent, the EEA, bidding, modelling, columns, or restating historical data. Neither defines “Google signed-in data signals”, so we quote the phrase and do not interpret it.
PPC Land (Luis Rijo, October 16) cites only the Display & Video 360 page. Its list of open questions covers the volume of unattributed conversions, observed versus modelled, a separate column, bidding, regions and consent, and history. PPC Land labels the before-and-after comparison point “an inference from the wording”.
What to put in your reporting notes
Annotate both October and November on any chart of Floodlight conversions in Campaign Manager 360, Display & Video 360 or Search Ads 360. Do not compare periods across the switch without a note. If you reconcile those counts with another source, note that the notice names only Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360 and Campaign Manager 360 reporting.
Our piece on how Google Ads deduplicates a tagged conversion against an uploaded source covers a related counting problem, in Google Ads rather than Floodlight. When Google names a day, or says whether history is restated, the annotation can be tightened.
